The first coffee, Poesía, is grown at 1800–1900 MASL. MASL stands for meters above sea level, which is the altitude where the coffee was grown. In coffee, higher elevation often matters because cooler mountain temperatures can slow how quickly the coffee cherries ripen, which can help the beans develop more sweetness, density, and flavour complexity.

Poesía is rated at 86 points. Coffee has traditionally been judged on a 100-point scale, and coffees scoring 80 points or higher are widely recognized in the specialty coffee world as being in the specialty range. In simple terms, that means they stand above standard commercial coffee in quality, distinction, and overall cup experience.

So what does 86 points mean?

It means this is not just “good coffee.” It sits comfortably above the basic specialty threshold and into a more premium range. In practical terms:
