Peanut Butter Cup was our first product in 2020. Bovine collagen was part of the original recipe, and it remains one of the bar's protein sources today.

Collagen was not added later to follow a trend. It was part of the original formulation.
Why collagen was already familiar
Before Zentein began, Army training and dealing with injuries had already put collagen on our founder's radar. That familiarity helped shape the original bar.

Ways to enjoy it
Enjoy it your way.
Keep it simple, warm it up, share the two pieces or turn it into dessert.
Straight from the wrapper
The easy option when you want a quick, satisfying protein snack.
Make it gooey
Remove the wrapper before microwaving. Warm for 10–20 seconds. If it gets especially soft, put it on a plate and enjoy it with a fork or spoon.
Share a bite
Share one piece with a friend, split the bar with someone you love or save the second piece for later.
Crumble it
Chop or crumble pieces over ice cream, oatmeal or yogurt for extra peanut-butter-cup flavour.
Turn it into a treat
Warm it using the directions above, then add your favourite topping for a richer dessert-style bite.

Do these bars need to be refrigerated?
No. The bars are shelf stable and do not require refrigeration. Enjoy them at room temperature, chilled or warmed, depending on the texture you prefer.
How do I warm a bar?
Remove the wrapper before microwaving. Place the bar on a microwave-safe plate and warm for about 10–20 seconds. It can become very soft and gooey, so a fork or spoon may be helpful.
What is the protein source?
Its protein comes from a combination of bovine gelatin, peanut butter and rolled oats. The current package lists 25 g of protein per 65 g package.
What allergen information should I know?
Contains peanuts and soy. Produced in a facility that also processes tree nuts, milk, soy and gluten.
